March 2009 - After moving from cramped quarters a little over a year ago to larger offices, Designfusion (www.designfusion.ca) is expanding again at its current location, and adding offices in the U.S., according to its president, Kevin Johnstone.

“We want to keep expanding our customer coverage,” said Johnstone.

Designfusion provides design software and related services, mostly from the Siemens PLM Software basket of products that include Solid Edge, NX, Teamcenter, Femap and CAM Express. It also sells and supports color 3D printers from Z Corp., the Knovel scientific and engineering search platform, Certeon acceleration appliance for LAN-like response times over a WAN, alma CAM software and autofab manufacturing resources planning MRP-2 software.

“The office expansion has allowed us to provide additional training, as well as added conference rooms for consulting services,” said Johnstone. “The business from the Teamcenter product has increased because of PLM’s better acceptance and understanding in the marketplace.

“The goal is to build ongoing services for customer PLM requirements.”

The founders of Designfusion have been serving the Siemens PLM customer community for more than ten years. “Whether working as part of the Siemens PLM organization or as leaders of what is now North America’s largest dedicated Siemens PLM Solution partner, the Designfusion team has been committed to providing industry leading support to the engineering design and manufacturing community,” the company says.
