Automation Motion Control controller motor Steinmeyer

Steinmeyer’s compact FMC200 series supports wide motion range and offers up to three axes coordination.

Steinmeyer, Inc. announced its FMC200 series, a small point-to-point controller that supports a wide range of motors including linear brushless, DC brush and stepper motors. Up to 3 axes can be controlled from a single unit that measures 100x100x25 mm. Input power, ranging from 9 to 36 VDC, depends on the motors to be controlled. Open loop as well as closed loop control is possible. Maximum input quadrature encoder frequency is 10 MHz.

The FMC200 series controller comes with a software package that includes LabView libraries, as well as C++, C#, Visual Basic, Delphi and other libraries. Stand alone operation is possible with stored motion sequences. The controller, able to interface with an external joystick and limit switches, also includes extra I/O ports.
