Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced Reflectors’ H20X40F and H60F. The rectangular reflectors are intended for use with photoelectric sensors in food and beverage processing applications. Units feature IP69K protection to withstand severe high pressure and high temperature washdown, and Ecolab certification for compatibility with common caustic cleaning agents and disinfectants.

“These reflectors are ruggedized to survive extreme washdown conditions in which other reflectors would get water between the reflector and backing, or even break down over time. They can also be used in applications that require hygienic design, and that require components resistant to common caustic cleaning agents and detergents. This means less time and money spent replacing damaged reflectors in these environments,” said Jeff Allison, P+F product manager.

The H20X40F and H60F are corner-cube reflectors, meaning that they can be used with polarized and non-polarized retro-reflective photoelectric sensors. These reflectors are an ideal complement to Pepperl+Fuchs’ ML7 series photoelectric sensors, which are also IP69k protected and have ECOLAB certification.
