Westermo launched its MRD-455-NA, a 4G router that features DIN-rail mounting, an isolated power supply, an operating voltage range from 10 to 60VDC and support for 3G and 4G LTE mobile standards. Its GPS antenna port allows for tracking remote assets by location. The unit has a built-in two port 10/100 Ethernet switch and RS-232 D-Sub. Device status changes can be received by SMS and email. The MRD-455-NA offers VPN functionality, enabling secure tunnels to be created over insecure networks. The router features an inspection firewall and dual SIM support, allowing the MRD-455-NA to automatically switch to the other SIM in case of a connectivity problem.
