Employees at the Windsor Assembly Plant (Ont.) celebrate the start of production of the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica on Feb. 29, 2016.

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is now in production. FCA US LLC has announced that its Windsor Assembly Plant has started producing the all-new 2017 minivan. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica was designed with nearly 40 new minivan firsts, offering comfort, convenience and functionality for consumers.

FCA is the original creator of the minivan more than 30 years ago. With the introduction of the all-new Chrysler Pacifica, FCA US adds 37 minivan firsts to its portfolio for an unprecedented total of 115 innovations in the segment.

Constructed on an all-new platform, Chrysler Pacifica will deliver enhanced ride and handling capabilities and will be coming  to dealer showrooms in spring 2016.

In 2013, the Windsor Assembly Plant celebrated 30 years of minivan production. More than 14 million minivans have been sold since the plant began production in 1983, with more than 6 million currently on the road today. The plant currently runs three shifts.
