EXAIR has introduced its Super Air Wipe, a 360-degree airstream that can blow off, dry, clean or cool the material passing through it. The split design can be clamped around continuously moving material such as wire, cable, pipe, hose and extruded shapes. The 3/8-inch Super Air Wipe ejects compressed air through a nozzle that pulls in surrounding air. Brackets that hold each half of the device together can be latched or removed quickly. Air consumption is 11.1 SCFM at 80psig and the sound level is low at 82dBA. Super Air Wipe is CE compliant and available in aluminum and stainless steel in diameters up to 4 inches (102mm) with large diameters up to 11 inches (279mm) available in aluminum. Applications include wiping wire; drying inks; cooling hot extruded shapes; and blowoff of water, plating, coatings and dust.
