Tolomatic released its ACSI EtherCAT integrated servo motor and drive that can automatically configure the motor, actuator, safety limits and other key settings inside the controller. In addition to EtherCAT, options include EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and Modbus-TCP Ethernet. Tolomatic will mount the ACSI to the actuator of choice, configure it, test it and ship it under one part number. Set up and deployment is achieved via the ACSI TwinCAT 3 library. The ACSI is designed to internally close the position loop, removing the requirement for high-speed cycle times and high-performance hardware.
