Integrated Servo Motor

Maxon unveiled its IDX compact integrated servo gearmotor + drive that combines a brushless EC-i motor with an EPOS4 positioning controller, and optionally complemented with a maxon planetary gearhead when required. With an IP65 rating, the line also features configurable digital and analog inputs and outputs, and software that enables commissioning and integration into master systems. According to the company, the IDX yields high continuous torques and power density. They are also suitable for use across the entire speed range (from standstill to maximum speed) and have a high overload capability. Together with its internal positioning controller and integrated single turn absolute encoder, absolute positioning is standard. Operating voltage ranges from 12 to 48 VDC.
