Electromate announced it now distributes Quantum Devices’ QM22 series of optical incremental encoders. Suited to a range of applications, including robotic arms, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and medical equipment, the QM22 is designed for integration into tight spaces. Measuring 22mm in diameter, encoder series still offers resolutions up to 2,048 cycles per revolution (CPR) or 8,192 counts per revolution when used with a x4 count quadrature decoder. The series also features a fully encapsulated housing that ensures optimal operation even in challenging industrial environments, the company says.
