Disc Coupling

Baldor announced that all its disc couplings now meet ATEX certification, a European Union directive that defines essential health and safety requirements for all equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres. The couplings meet all ATEX requirements for mining applications and other applications with combustible dust and gas atmospheres.

Each Baldor-Dodge disc coupling has the following ATEX ratings:

• I M2 c Sizes 94 to 310 with an ambient range of -30˚C to +65˚C
• II 2 GD c 135˚C (T4) Sizes 94 to 310 with an ambient range of -30˚C to +65˚C
• II 2 GD c 100˚C (T5) Sizes 94 to 210 with an ambient range of -30˚C to +50˚C
