Direct Drive Motor

Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. released its TM-RG2M / TM-RU2M line of low-profile direct drive motors, which feature direct control of a load without traditional transmission components. The direct drive motor features two installation methods – flange type with pilot and table type with positioning pinholes. It is designed for use in industries such as semiconductor / LCD manufacturing, machine tool, material handling and inspection. Suitable applications include coating and vapor deposition systems, index tables, tool changers, rotary material handling robots, and rotary axis on XY theta inspection positioning systems.
