KraussMaffei powerPrint produces large plastic parts up to 2m by 2.5m by 2m.


KraussMaffei announced that its large-scale 3D printer, the powerPrint, is now available for purchase. With a volume of up to ten cubic meters, the unit prints thermoplastics in granulate form using extruder-based pressure build-up. It has a nozzle area of 2 to 20mm and offers an output rate up to 30kg/h. The parts produce can be up to 2m x 2.5m x 2m independently and without manual intervention at a temperature of up to 350°C. The parts be removed either from the machine’s front door or by crane via a folding roof in the heat-resistant enclosure. The printer also features vacuum-fixed printing plates so print jobs can be changed quickly. In addition to machine sales, KraussMaffei also offers the print-on-demand service employing the powerPrint.
