Pepperl+Fuchs introduced its MLV41-8-HV photoelectric sensor that features advanced optics that identifies paper dust build-up, forgiving mounting tolerances and foreground and background suppression functionality to optimize web break detection. Background suppression further benefits the user by enabling the sensor to detect multiple colors consistently, to within one percent of the same distance. The sensor also features a metal housing resistant to the acids and alkalis. The MLV41-8-HV features the company’s 4-in-1 output. The sensor is tamper-proof with a fixed sensing range and is highly immune to ambient light and cross-talk.
